Based on the Saanich Peninsula, I specialize in compassionate behavioural support for reactive, sensitive, and complex dogs. As a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy for Training & Behavior, my approach is rooted in science-based methods of positive reinforcement. I don’t just walk or train dogs, I help you foster a relationship with your dog that is built on trust, communication, and empathy. If your dog experiences the world deeply and could benefit from thoughtful, individualized support, you’ve found the right place.

A few reflections from clients who I've been fortunate enough to work with:
If something remains unclear, please reach out! I'm hear to support you and your dog every step of the way, so you can move forward with confidence.
I predominantly service the Saanich Peninsula - Sidney, North Saanich, Central Saanich, Brentwood Bay, Saanichton, and Cordova Bay. If you need support and live outside these areas, please reach out and I will do my best to accommodate.
A little rain doesn’t make us melt and actually makes the smells of the world come alive for our dogs! However, you and your dog’s safety comes first. Some dogs are sensitive to not-ideal conditions, and if this is the case, please let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. In cases of heavy rain, extreme heat or cold, storms, or other unsafe weather conditions, sessions may be modified, moved indoors, rescheduled, or postponed. I’ll always communicate as early as possible if weather may impact your appointment and work with you to find the best alternative.
I offer free 20 minute consultations (in person or virtually/phone). They are relaxed, informative, and tailored to you and your dog. We’ll talk through your goals, concerns, your dog’s history, daily routine, and any challenges you’re experiencing. I’ll observe, answer questions, and outline a personalized plan with clear next steps based on what’s best for you and your dog. This is a collaborative conversation designed to set everyone up for success.
Yes. I am fully insured by ProFur (Acera) and hold a valid inter-community business license, so I can responsibly operate within various areas of the Greater Victoria Region. I operate in accordance with local regulations and professional standards. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
This depends on the service you’re booking, but in most cases, yes. If your dog is being walked to give you a break or time to focus on other areas of life, there’s no need for you to join. I’ll provide a post-walk update covering where we went, any challenges, and any training that was practiced, so you can continue reinforcing those skills on your own walks. For private training sessions, your presence is essential. This allows me to coach you through the exercises, answer questions in real time, and ensure you feel confident applying the techniques between sessions. Your involvement plays a key role in your dog’s progress!
